One thing that our nation can agree on is that a single tragedy in a school is one too many. It is Mme that we turn the Mde and create a culture that helps students to feel welcome and a sense of belonging in their school. You must first crawl to be able to walk and then be able to run; for Day Without Hate, it starts with a day to be able to create a safe environment that leads to a culture of acceptance and a positive climate.
In this workshop, you'll discover how to create a compelling project that highlights the unique experiences of your diverse student body. Participants will learn what diversity "looks" like and will identify the many dimensions of diversity in their own learning communities. Practical tips will be provided about how to create a similar project that will allow you and your students to amplify diverse voices and build a more connected community that fosters a sense of inclusion and belonging.
